All commissaries will continue to operate worldwide for a limited amount of time during the current lapse in appropriation.
In the event that Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) working capital funds were to be fully used, commissary operations would continue at locations where access to affordable food is essential and alternative options are limited. These stores support service members and families in remote or underserved areas where other grocery resources are not reasonably available.
DeCA remains committed to serving the military community during this temporary funding lapse. However, certain operations or services may be modified to conserve resources. This is a temporary situation — normal operations will resume once appropriations are restored.
